Lindström is preparing for the influenza epidemic

Getting the so called swine flu i.e. H1N1 virus is a world wide high risk – it has been foreseen by the World Health Organisation WHO that approximately 30 percent of the population might fall ill with the new for of A influenza virus.

To prepare for the epidemic the Lindström Group personnel has been guided to better daily hygiene routines, focus being especially on the hand hygiene. If a person is ill, it is our guideline that persons with high fever and aches – typical symptoms of this difficult flu, stay home as long suffering from symptoms.

We have prepared a plan to ensure our client deliveries in which we have determined our substitute systems so we can, with the best possible accuracy, take care of our agreed textile services also during the epidemic. If you - on our side - have so many cases of influenza that you will have to shut down some of your operations or localities, please let us know as soon as possible about these changes.

Assuring textile cleanliness
Lindström’s quality system guarantees a hygienic textile service process. Disinfection is guaranteed due to the washing chemicals and temperatures as well as with the right handling of the textiles.
Lindström workwear laundries’ work is guided by the ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO140001 Environmental management system and ISO14065 Laundry processed textiles –Biocontamination control system. Certification process with DNV Certification has been started 2008. Quality management system includes an internal process control, which is based on ISO14065. This internal process control is made continuously by laundry personnel to ensure uniform quality of the textile care process.
